The Drabble published my 100-word story on their website last week. If you are unfamiliar as to what drabble is, it’s a story that is told in 100-words – no more, no less. My story, THE LEDGE, has received a lot of great reviews from the readers of their website. I’ve shared what they have been saying on the ‘Whispers‘ page on my blog.
I have two favorite reviews of the story so far. The first was from a reader named Summit. They said: “Nothing uplifting about this one, no sir. A real downer. Should’ve been titled, “Makes You Want to Kill Yourself.” I couldn’t help but laugh and be proud.
The other good one was from phil. He wrote: “Great nano-fiction at Drabble. This tale does a good job of bringing out the critical elements of the story and ending with a horrifying moment in the protagonist’s mind.” He also shared the story on his website, PHIL SLATTERY’S ART OF HORROR.
It’s funny how such a short story can bring out so many emotions. Visit The Drabble and read THE LEDGE. Come back and tell me what you thought of it in the comments below. Thank you!
